Albares: The Lebanese people cannot be held hostage to an external conflict
Madrid, March 12 (Hibya) - Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, stated that Lebanon is going through a dramatic period and called on the parties to stop the attacks.
Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares made a statement regarding the escalating tensions in the Middle East and the humanitarian situation in Lebanon.
Emphasizing that the conflicts in the region must stop, Albares said, "Lebanon is going through a dramatic period in its history. Israel must stop the bombardment. Hezbollah must stop the attacks. The Lebanese people cannot be held hostage to an external conflict."
Minister Albares stated that Spain’s humanitarian support for Lebanon will continue, saying, "Spain will continue to support the Lebanese people with an aid package worth 9 million euros."
