Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov held a telephone conversation.

During the call, bilateral relations between Iran and Russia, along with regional and international developments, were reviewed. Araghchi outlined Iran’s position on the nuclear issue and stressed Tehran’s seriousness in advancing negotiations to reach a fair and balanced agreement. He highlighted the importance of safeguarding Iran’s rights and interests within the framework of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

The Iranian minister also thanked Russia for its constructive and positive stance on international platforms and briefed Lavrov on the latest developments in the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States.

The parties also exchanged views on various issues within the framework of bilateral relations.
