Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that he welcomes reports on the cessation of Israeli attacks in Lebanon, reiterating the Islamic Republic of Iran's unwavering support for the Lebanese government, its people, and its resistance.

According to Baghaei, the Zionist regime's warmongering policies and crimes have been carried out with the comprehensive support of the United States and some European countries, leading to the martyrdom of 60,000 innocent people, injuries to 120,000 individuals, the displacement of over 3.5 million oppressed people in Palestine and Lebanon, and the extensive destruction of vital infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. However, the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance remains more determined than ever to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
