Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei made a statement regarding the United States of America (USA).

Baghaei emphasized that National Struggle Day reminds the Iranian people of their fight for a life free from foreign intervention and domination, a life full of freedom and dignity. He said:

"Our people have not forgotten America’s long and dark history of illegal interventions in Iran, especially the American-British coup of Mordad 28, 1332. This coup overthrew the first government elected by the Iranian people and reinstated the dictatorship of the monarchy."
