French President Emmanuel Macron issued a statement following the passing of French actor, writer, and director Michel Blanc, who passed away at the age of 72.
In his message, Macron said: "He made us laugh until we cried, and cry until we laughed. The monument of French cinema Michel Blanc is gone. Our thoughts are with his loved ones and collaborators."
