Ghebreyesus expresses support for health reforms in Solomon Islands
Geneva, May 27 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met with Solomon Islands Minister of Health Paul Popora Bosawai during the 78th World Health Assembly (#WHA78).
The meeting focused on plans to strengthen the Solomon Islands’ health system. Topics included investment in health facilities, improvement of community health, support for healthcare workers, combating non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and environmental health initiatives.
Dr. Tedros emphasized that the WHO would continue to support the Solomon Islands throughout this process and expressed readiness to contribute institutionally to the reform efforts.
