Israel and Hamas carried out the last exchange of the first phase
Stockholm, February 27 (Hibya) - Hamas handed over four deceased hostages to Israel. At the same time, the first convoy of Palestinian prisoners left Israel's Ofer prison in the West Bank.
The exchange of hostages and prisoners will be the final event of the first phase of the ceasefire. However, there is no plan yet for the second phase.
Shortly before midnight on Thursday, Egyptian and Palestinian media reported that Hamas had agreed to hand over the bodies of four Israeli hostages to the Red Cross in southern Gaza.
The bodies were later transferred to Israel, and shortly before 01:00, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the receipt of the coffins.
