Italian Prime Minister Meloni calls for ensuring the safety of UNIFIL soldiers
Rome, November 22 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called on parties on the ground to ensure the safety of UNIFIL soldiers and cooperate to swiftly identify those responsible.
Italian Prime Minister Meloni stated that she is following with anger and concern the news of a new attack on Italy's UNIFIL headquarters in southern Lebanon, which also injured some peacekeeping soldiers.
Expressing her gratitude to the Italian unit in Lebanon for their daily activities, Meloni said: "I once again reiterate that such attacks are unacceptable and call on the parties on the ground to always ensure the safety of UNIFIL soldiers and to cooperate to swiftly identify those responsible."
