Lahbib: 28 patients and 98 companions evacuated from Gaza
Brussels, December 9 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that 28 patients and 98 companions were medically evacuated from Gaza to Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Norway and Türkiye.
Lahbib stated that Slovakia and Romania also provided support for the transport process.
She added that during her recent mission to Egypt, she personally witnessed the courage of these patients and that the joint support of the EU and the World Health Organization keeps solidarity and humanity at the core of their work.
