Lahbib: Humanity must always prevail
Brussels, 9 December (Hibya) – European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that the values of the European Union guide their determination to protect civilians, defend human rights and uphold international humanitarian law.
EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Lahbib said that today she honors with respect the dignity and memory of the victims of genocide, keeping in mind the suffering they endured and the courage they showed.
Lahbib emphasized that the European Union’s values guide their commitment to protecting civilians, human rights and international humanitarian law, adding: “Humanity must always prevail.”
