Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

On Saturday evening, RSF forces raided the hospital and attacked patients, staff and visitors. He looted money, mobile phones and an ambulance. The army and its armed movements repelled the attack after intense clashes.

Director General of the Ministry of Health of North Darfur State, Ibrahim Abdallah, confirmed that the hospital is no longer operating and patients and staff have been evacuated safely. The RSF reportedly executed scores of patients and abducted visitors during the attack, in addition to looting salaries, medicines and ambulances and destroying vehicles.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF), which operates the hospital with the Ministry of Health, announced on Sunday that operations had been stopped. MSF Head of Emergencies, Michel Lacharite, condemned the attack and said: "It is outrageous that RSF opened fire inside the hospital. This is not an isolated incident because staff and patients have been subjected to attacks on the facility from all sides for weeks. Still, opening fire inside the hospital exceeds the limit."

Only ten patients and a reduced medical team were present at the time of the attack, as MSF and the Ministry of Health began transferring patients and services to other facilities due to escalating violence.

The Southern Hospital was one of two hospitals with surgical capacity in Al Fasher and served as the primary referral centre for treating war casualties. Between May 10 and June 6, more than 1,300 injured people were treated in hospital.

Al Fasher has been the scene of violent clashes between the army and its allied armed movements against the RSF since May 10. The conflict caused many civilian deaths, widespread displacement and major damage to infrastructure.

RSF's attack on El Fasher is seen as an attempt to seize control of the last city in the Darfur region not under their control. The group had taken control of South, Central, West and East Darfur since the end of last year and successfully removed the army from these states.
