One killed in attack on UN convoy in Rafah
Stockholm, May 15 (Hibya) - An attack on a UN convoy in Rafah, Gaza, has reportedly killed one UN staff member and lightly wounded another.
UN spokesperson Farhan Haq said the workers were in a vehicle with UN markings when the convoy was hit.
The employee killed was the first UN international employee to be killed since October 7.
Around 190 Palestinian UN staff have been killed in the war. Most worked for UNRWA, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.
According to Haaretz, Hamas claimed that Israel was behind the attack.
