Pentagon announces four killed in another boat strike in the Pacific
Washington, December 5 (Hibya) — The Pentagon announced on Thursday that the U.S. military carried out another lethal strike on a boat suspected of carrying illegal drugs, resulting in the deaths of four people.
The attack occurred amid ongoing congressional debates about the legality of U.S. strikes on individuals suspected of drug trafficking.
U.S. Southern Command, based in Florida, shared video of the new strike on social media and stated that, under the direction of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, “Joint Task Force–South Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike against a vessel operated by an internationally designated terrorist organization in international waters.”
The statement added: “Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was carrying illegal narcotics and was moving along a known drug-trafficking route in the Eastern Pacific. Four male drug terrorists on board were killed.”
