Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

On February 19, Russian President Putin and Madagascar President Randrianirina held a meeting at the Kremlin.

Putin expressed his satisfaction at hosting the Malagasy delegation in Moscow and recalled that diplomatic relations between the two countries will mark their 55th anniversary next year. Emphasizing that bilateral relations have always been stable, Putin stated that Madagascar is one of Russia’s key partners on the African continent.

The Russian leader conveyed his condolences over two cyclones that recently affected Madagascar, impacting more than 270,000 people and causing over 40 fatalities. He noted that Russia has taken the necessary steps to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Madagascar.

Putin also stated that the Malagasy government has taken important steps to improve the situation in the country and that there is a positive basis for further strengthening political relations. He expressed his satisfaction with the recent visit of a high-level delegation from Madagascar to Russia.

During the meeting, attention was drawn to the potential for cooperation in many areas, including agriculture, geological research, energy, medicine, healthcare and education. Reminding that Malagasy students study at Russian universities, Putin stated that they are ready to expand cooperation in cultural and humanitarian fields.

It was also reported that the parties agreed to continue cooperation on international platforms, particularly within the framework of the United Nations.
