Russell: No country can progress if half of its population is left behind
Wellington, October 30 (Hibya) - United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Executive Director Catherine Russell stated that no country can progress if half of its population is left behind.
UNICEF Executive Director Russell emphasized that everyone must raise their voices for Afghan girls and women whose voices are silenced and dreams denied.
Russell noted that those excluded from schools, confined to homes, and deprived of rights have little hope beyond early marriage, adding that no country can progress if half of its population is left behind.
