Russia launches large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure
Moscow, November 28 (Hibya) — Ukrainian news agencies Zerkalo Tyzhnya and Suspilne reported explosions in Odesa, Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, Rivne, and Lutsk on Thursday morning following reports of Russian cruise missile strikes.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said, "The energy infrastructure has once again become the target of the enemy's large-scale attack."
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov announced, "The enemy continues to attack Kharkiv with missiles," while Odesa Regional Governor Oleh Kiper urged residents to stay in shelters.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko also said that air defense systems were operating.
Ukraine's energy provider DTEK announced that Ukrenergo has initiated emergency power outages in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, and Donetsk regions.
