UNRWA: If aid is not allowed into Gaza, more children will lose their lives
New York, August 22 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that if vital humanitarian aid is not permitted to enter Gaza, child deaths will increase.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated: “This atrocity can be reversed with political will.”
The Agency plays a critical role in preventing famine and responding to this crisis in Gaza thanks to its extensive network of health centers, medical aid points, and trained staff.
UNRWA stressed that its work must not be obstructed in order to continue operating at full capacity.
