Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Zelensky stated that they discussed “the development of the necessary steps to end the war, as well as diplomatic efforts with our partners,” expressing gratitude for Canada’s readiness to assist.

He added that he briefed Carney on the situation in Ukraine, the front line, and efforts to ensure resilience, noting:

“I would particularly like to thank Canada for its significant contribution to the PURL initiative, which enables us to purchase American weapons, including air defense systems, to protect lives. We will continue our coordination with Canada and the Prime Minister.”
