A bullish sentiment prevails in U.S. markets
Istanbul, June 3 (Hibya) - U.S. markets showed a bullish tone during the week's trading session. After the S&P 500 index closed at yet another record level, stock futures posted slight changes.
U.S. markets displayed a positive performance during the trading day. All major indices ended the session higher, while the fear index (VIX) declined.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose 0.45 percent to 51,307.79 points. The S&P 500 index gained 0.13 percent to reach 7,609.78 points.
The technology-heavy Nasdaq index increased 0.03 percent to 27,093.901 points, while the Russell 2000 (RUSS 2K) index climbed 0.90 percent to 2,931.963 points.
The VIX index, which measures market volatility, fell 1.74 percent to 15.77 points.
