The European company stated that deliveries will increase by 7% compared to the 766 aircraft delivered last year, while its 2024 revenue, excluding various expenses, is expected to decline by 8% to €5.4 billion.

Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury described this year as a "test year" but emphasized that the "strong order intake" confirms the "strong demand for our products and services."

Headquartered in Toulouse, France, the company has already reported a €1 billion loss for the year, along with an additional €300 million charge related to its struggling space division. Airbus is considering a merger with the space division of its French rival, Thales.

Airbus’ supply chain has struggled with disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and retirements, making it difficult to ramp up commercial aircraft production. This has prevented it from fully capitalizing on its advantage over its American competitor, Boeing.

Boeing, which has faced safety crises for years, including an incident last year where a door panel detached mid-flight, has left Airbus as the undisputed global leader.
