Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, argued that the death penalty is cruel and inhuman.
Minister Albares said in his statement: "Our foreign policy works to abolish this penalty worldwide. As part of this commitment, we support transforming the International Commission against the Death Penalty into an international organization."
