Aliyev advises Ukraine not to accept occupation
Moscow, July 20 (Hibya) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated at the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum that Ukraine should not tolerate the occupation of its territories.
According to Ukraine’s Strana newspaper, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev responded to Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon's question at the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum by saying, “Never accept occupation — that’s the main advice. That’s what we did.”
Aliyev added that this aligns with the expectations of the Ukrainian people.
Drawing a parallel between the Ukraine and Nagorno-Karabakh conflicts, Aliyev noted that despite no progress in implementing UN Security Council resolutions, Azerbaijan regained control over the region independently.
