Ambassadors from France, Uruguay, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates conveyed their congratulations to China and its people as the Chinese New Year or Spring Festival approaches in China.

According to CCTV reports, the 2024 Spring Festival falls this year on Saturday and corresponds to the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac, occupying the fifth position.

France's Ambassador to China, Bertrand Lortholary, stated in his remarks: "Being in China during the Spring Festival is truly a very happy situation. I have lived in China before and have also celebrated the Spring Festival in China. The Spring Festival is the most extraordinary time of year in China. Like the Chinese people, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Spring Festival and the upcoming Year of the Dragon."
