Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

In northern Malaysia, over 122,000 people were forced to leave their homes, while about 13,000 people were displaced in southern Thailand.

With warnings of heavy rains and storms still in effect, there are concerns that the death toll could rise.

The floods, which started earlier this week, have led to the evacuation of thousands of people in both countries.

Videos on social media and local news show cars and houses submerged, and people walking in waist-deep water.

Authorities reported that the floods affected approximately 534,000 households in southern Thailand, and two hospitals were closed to prevent damage to medical facilities. Six provinces declared disaster zones.

The government allocated 50 million baht ($1.7 million) in flood aid for each province. Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra said the goal is "to return to normal as quickly as possible."

In Malaysia, the floods are mainly concentrated in the northeastern state of Kelantan, bordering Thailand.

The National Disaster Management Agency stated that evacuees account for 63% of the region's population.
