Australian Foreign Minister Wong congratulates Baerbock
Canberra, June 3 (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong congratulated German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on her election as President of the United Nations General Assembly.
In a post on social media, Wong expressed her belief that Baerbock would make a significant contribution to strengthening multilateral cooperation and upholding international rules during a time of global uncertainty.
“I am confident Annalena will play a vital role in efforts to uphold the rules that protect us and strengthen multilateral cooperation,” Wong said, wishing her success in her new role.
