Prime Minister Wever announced that he hosted US Secretary of State Rubio.

Wever highlighted Belgium’s long-standing tradition of working with the US, saying:

“For instance, when it comes to strengthening NATO’s defense capacity, a long list of geopolitical challenges, and the international fight against drug trafficking and organized crime, we continue to share key priorities.”

Wever also expressed hope that the unfortunate trade dispute between the US and Europe would soon come to an end, adding: “Let us preserve and strengthen the transatlantic partnership and free trade relations that have kept the Western world secure and prosperous throughout recent history.”
