Washington, September 5 (Hibya) - Boeing will attempt to return the Starliner spacecraft to Earth without the stranded astronauts from the International Space Station (ISS) on September 7.
The spacecraft and its two astronauts, Barry 'Butch' Wilmore and Sunita Williams, have been stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) since June 5.
According to NASA, everything is in place for the Starliner vehicle to free itself from the space station. According to the plan, this will happen on Friday evening US time, after which the fully automated vehicle will attempt to land in New Mexico six hours later.
According to the plan, the two astronauts will not return home until February next year, as NASA has deemed it too risky to send them on the Starliner ship.
The two astronauts will spend eight months on the space station, where they went on an eight-day mission.
