According to data released by China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC), the annual number of China-Europe freight train services has increased 10.8-fold over the past decade.
The annual number of services rose from 1,702 in 2016 to 20,022 in 2025, representing an average annual growth rate of 31.5 percent. Since 2020, annual freight volumes have consistently exceeded 10,000 train services.
Operating from 129 cities across China, these trains now reach 236 cities in 26 European countries, extending their service network across Eurasia. As of June 10 this year, the number of services exceeded 10,000, while transported container volumes surpassed 1 million TEU. Both figures set new historical records for the same period.
