Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said it "will never accept U.S. blackmail" and vowed to "fight to the end."

Analysts say the deadlock increases the likelihood of a full-scale trade war between the world's two largest economies.

If fully implemented, the total tariffs on goods imported from China to the U.S. would reach up to 104%. In response, the Ministry of Commerce stated that China "firmly opposes" Trump’s tariff threats and called its previous countermeasures "fully justified."

The Chinese Foreign Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding Trump’s additional 50% tariff threat.

On Monday, Trump wrote on Truth Social: "Also, all talks with China regarding their requested meetings will be terminated! Negotiations with other countries requesting meetings will begin immediately."

Beijing’s retaliatory tariffs are scheduled to take effect on Thursday.

Most Asian markets opened higher on Tuesday, though Taiwan saw a further 4% drop.

Major European stock markets, including London’s FTSE 100, closed Monday with more than a 4% loss.
