COGAT: On July 31, 173 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were sent to Gaza
Jerusalem, August 2 (Hibya) - The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) under the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that on Wednesday, July 31, 173 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were sent to Gaza.
A statement from COGAT reported that on Wednesday, July 31, 173 trucks carrying humanitarian aid were sent to Gaza, of which 153 passed through the Kerem Shalom Border Crossing and 20 passed through the Erez Border Crossing.
The statement also noted that 8 UNICEF trucks carried baby food and additional nutritional items: "A convoy of 96 trucks entered Gaza through the Gate crossing. The private sector received 170 trucks through the Kerem Shalom Border Crossing, and UN aid organizations received 29 trucks. More than 550 trucks are still waiting on the Gaza side of the Kerem Shalom Border Crossing. 6 tankers of cooking gas were sent to Gaza. The rotation coordination of humanitarian aid personnel entering and leaving Gaza was completed."
