According to a statement issued by the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Grlić Radman and Maldives Foreign Minister Abdulla Khaleel discussed bilateral relations during their meeting in New York.

The meeting explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation in trade and sustainable tourism, as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise. The specific impacts of climate change on Small Island Developing States were also discussed.

The two ministers signed the memorandum of understanding on political consultations, establishing a framework for continuing bilateral dialogue in a more regular and structured manner.
