Local authorities reported during a press conference Tuesday afternoon that at least 130 people were injured in the earthquake. According to the state news agency Xinhua, over a thousand houses were damaged in Dingri County.

The China Earthquake Administration dispatched a working team to assist in relief efforts and activated a Level II emergency response.

Central authorities sent approximately 22,000 relief items, including cotton tents, coats, blankets, and folding beds, as well as special equipment for high-altitude and cold areas, to the earthquake-affected region. Over 1,500 local firefighters and rescue personnel were also deployed.

Chinese President Xi Jinping ordered comprehensive rescue operations to save lives and minimize losses.

Xi emphasized the importance of strengthening earthquake monitoring and early warnings, promptly allocating emergency materials, accelerating the repair of damaged infrastructure, ensuring residents' basic needs, and guaranteeing a safe and warm winter for all.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, a total of 49 aftershocks were recorded as of Monday noon.
