Diplomatic efforts intensified against the decision to ban UNRWA operations
Ramallah, October 29 (Hibya) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that diplomatic efforts have intensified against the decision of the Israeli Knesset to ban the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
In a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported that diplomatic efforts against the Knesset's decision to ban UNRWA's operations have been intensified.
The statement noted that the ministry strongly appreciates the Knesset's decisive condemnation of the decision to ban UNRWA's activities, which constitutes an open attack on the Palestinian people and refugees, undermining the principles of the United Nations and its specialized agencies.
The ministry instructed all Palestinian embassies and missions to immediately engage with foreign ministries and decision-making bodies in host countries to aim at forming a wide and effective international coalition. "This coalition aims to exert pressure in partnership with friendly and allied countries in both the Arab and Islamic worlds." stated the declaration.
