Doctors Without Borders: Israel opened fire on Palestinians from all directions
Stockholm, June 2 (Hibya) - The humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders (MSF) reported that Israeli soldiers opened fire from all directions on Palestinians gathered at the Gaza Humanitarian Facility (GHF) in Rafah yesterday morning.
According to a statement, the wounded told doctors that the Israeli army surrounded them with drones, helicopters, boats, tanks, and ground troops. MSF doctors treated the wounded at Nasser Hospital in the neighboring city of Khan Younis and held GHF responsible for the resulting chaos.
Gaza-based aid groups denied claims that people gathering for aid were fired upon.
MSF communications director Nour Alsaqa said hospital corridors were filled with Palestinians with visible gunshot wounds. MSF emergency director Claire Manera said the method used by MSF to distribute food was inhumane, dangerous, and ineffective, leading to preventable deaths and poisonings.
