Dutch Prime Minister Schoof calls for ceasefire in Gaza
Amsterdam, October 4 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof stated that the peace plan presented by U.S. President Donald Trump is an important step toward a ceasefire in Gaza.
Schoof described the announcement by the Palestinian Islamic Movement of its readiness to release hostages and engage in direct negotiations within the framework of the plan as a positive development.
The Prime Minister said: “The Netherlands calls on all parties to implement this peace plan now. In this way, hostages can return home, a ceasefire can be achieved, and substantial humanitarian aid can reach civilians in Gaza. The end of this terrible war is now near.”
Schoof also emphasized that the Netherlands will continue working with its international partners to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East.
