EU advises airlines to avoid Lebanese and Israeli airspace
Cologne, September 28 (Hibya) - The European Union (EU) advises airlines to avoid Lebanese and Israeli airspace for the next month.
The EU has warned airlines to avoid using Lebanese and Israeli airspace over the next month.
In a statement by the European Commission and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), it was reported that "airstrikes have generally intensified, and the security situation has worsened." An official recommendation was issued "to avoid operations at all flight levels in Lebanese and Israeli airspaces."
It was stated that the Conflict Zone Information Bulletin (CZIB), temporarily in effect until October 31, 2024, "could be reviewed, adapted, or withdrawn earlier."
The statement added that EASA would continue to monitor the situation closely to assess whether risks to EU aircraft operators have increased or decreased as a result of the threat's evolution.
