French President Macron: Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire
Paris, April 26 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Rome, the capital of Italy.
President Macron announced that they had a very positive meeting with President Zelensky in Rome.
He emphasized that ending the war in Ukraine is a goal shared with US President Donald Trump, adding: "Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire. President Zelensky confirmed this to me again today. He wants to work with Americans and Europeans to make it happen."
Macron added that it is now up to Russian President Putin to prove that he genuinely wants peace, stating: "We will continue our efforts within the framework of the coalition of the willing that we launched in Paris last March to secure this ceasefire and achieve a complete and lasting peace in Ukraine."
