German Chancellor Scholz Attends Meeting in Paris
Berlin, February 17 (Hibya) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz attended a meeting of European leaders in Paris on Ukraine and European security.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz noted that the situation in Europe is difficult. He said: "We welcome peace talks on Ukraine. However, this does not mean accepting an imposed peace or that Ukraine must accept what is offered. We are closely coordinating with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on this matter."
Scholz emphasized that peace negotiations must lead to a fair and sustainable peace, stressing that Ukraine must be part of these talks. He reiterated that Europe will continue to support Ukraine, as he has stated in his discussions with Zelensky.
