Munich, June 2 (Hibya) - A state of emergency has been declared in some regions of Germany due to floods.
A state of emergency has been declared in some areas of southern Germany following heavy rain over the past few days. The German army has been deployed to help with rescue efforts.
Floods are affecting the states of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Hesse. A passenger train 50 kilometres east of Stuttgart derailed due to the weather, but no one was injured.
However, all train traffic between Stuttgart and Munich has been temporarily halted, and more rain is expected on Sunday.
