Ghebreyesus: 8 patients evacuated from Gaza to Romania
Geneva, October 1 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that 8 patients were evacuated from Gaza to Romania for special medical care along with their companions.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus announced that 8 patients were evacuated from Gaza to Romania for specialized medical care, and they traveled with 24 companions.
Ghebreyesus thanked Romania and the European Community Humanitarian Office for their cooperation in ensuring that these patients received the necessary medical care and said:
"Once again, we call for the establishment of evacuation corridors and the use of all possible ways to ensure the safe and timely passage of all patients in need of special care. Above all, all patients need peace."
