Ghebreyesus: Eight patients evacuated from Gaza to Romania
Geneva, October 2 (Hibya) – WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that eight patients were evacuated from Gaza to Romania for specialized medical care.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that of the eight patients evacuated, seven are children.
He noted that half of the patients are cancer sufferers, one requires a kidney transplant, and another has suffered a severe injury.
"We reiterate our call for the creation of evacuation corridors and ensuring safe passage for all patients in need of specialized care. Above all, all patients need peace. Stop the fire," Ghebreyesus added.
