Geneva, February 4 (Hibya) - World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that every minute, 40 people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer and embark on a journey to overcome the disease.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus issued a statement on the occasion of World Cancer Day on February 4.
He emphasized that every minute, 40 people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer and start their journey to fight the disease, adding: "On World Cancer Day, we honor the courage of those affected, celebrate scientific progress in treating the disease, and reaffirm our commitment to Health for All."
