WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus stated that WHO and its partners have supported the medical evacuation of 4 patients and 5 companions to Jordan, as well as 6 child patients and 5 companions to the US for specialized medical care.

Ghebreyesus emphasized that over 12,000 people in Gaza still need medical evacuation and added: “We continue to urge Israel to take the following actions: increase the approval rate for medical evacuations; expedite the approval process for medical evacuations; and allow the use of all possible corridors and border crossings for safe medical evacuations.”
