Ghebreyesus thanks Philippine Health Minister Herbosa, WHA78 President
Geneva, May 28 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus thanked Philippine Health Minister Teodoro Herbosa for his leadership as president of the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA78).
WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed his gratitude to Philippine Health Minister Teodoro Herbosa for his leadership as the president of WHA78.
In a statement on social media, Dr. Tedros emphasized that Minister Herbosa presided over a historic session, saying, “He had the honor of bringing the process to a close by striking the gavel to adopt the Pandemic Agreement.”
Adhanom Ghebreyesus noted that the decisions made within the WHA78 framework mark a turning point for the global health system.
