Geneva, January 28 (Hibya) - World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus made a statement regarding the fight against infectious diseases in Goma and Bukavu.
World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus made a statement about infectious diseases in Goma and Bukavu.
Ghebreyesus said, "Last Saturday, before Goma airport operations were halted, we delivered 25 tents to expand hospital rooms capable of accommodating up to 1,000 additional wounded and treating 2,000 people. We also sent cholera treatment supplies for 10,000 people and additional medical supplies for 320,000 people. However, as the situation evolves, more resources will be needed."
