Grandi: 10,000 new refugees fleeing violence in Sudan arrive in Uganda
Geneva, October 21 (Hibya) – United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi visited Uganda.
UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi stated that he visited Uganda, the country hosting the largest number of refugees in Africa, adding that 10,000 new refugees fleeing violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan arrive in Uganda every month.
Grandi said, "Uganda's refugee policies are generous, but public services are overwhelmed. A collective response is needed for this situation."
