Guterres: Disturbed and saddened by resumed military activities in Gaza


New York, May 8 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his dismay and sadness at the resumed military activities by the Israel Defense Forces in Gaza.

In his statement, Guterres called on the Israeli government to "halt any escalation and engage constructively in ongoing diplomatic discussions."
