Harris announced that he would establish a Veterans Affairs Office this year to develop a policy focused on this issue, stating: "Respecting those who have served and listening to their advice and experiences is important. Today, I met with representatives from the Irish United Nations Veterans Association and the National Former Service Personnel Organization to do just that."
