Harris: We have a shared commitment to protecting the multilateral system
Dublin, February 20 (Hibya) - Ireland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Defense and Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris held a meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, and his European counterparts.
Ireland’s Foreign Minister, Trade and Defense Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister Harris stated that he was pleased to begin his G20 engagements in South Africa by holding a meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kallas, and his European counterparts.
Harris emphasized that they share a strong commitment to protecting the rules-based multilateral system, which is fundamental in addressing global inequality, food insecurity, and conflicts from Ukraine to Gaza and Sudan.
