Israeli President Isaac Herzog stated that the decision by Israel's Security Cabinet to approve the ceasefire is a correct and significant step.
Herzog added: "The State of Israel will always defend its citizens, everywhere, and in every way. Our enemies must understand: What happened in the past will not happen again. As a united nation, we fought fiercely and resolutely to ensure the safety of Israeli citizens".
